On the 15th August 2011, I tentatively poked my head out of the large pile of sand it had been hiding in, to face the reality of going back to work and having to start the “find a nursery” mission. A disastrous morning looking at nurseries, resulted in tears on the M5 and the thoughts “I cannot leave Amy”. I remembered a conversation, at one of the many coffee mornings you attend as a new parent, where a mum recommended Little Angels. One phone call to Linda later and a time was arranged that afternoon to look around. From the moment I stepped into Little Angels, from the attentive welcoming staff, happy children, abundance of space, activities galore, varied menu and the most fabulous garden I knew I had ‘found the one’. The cheque book came out there and then, deposit paid and little did I realise that the decision that day shaped the most wonderful early years journey for Amy. Amy started at Little Angels 4-days a week in January 2012, aged 11 months. An inquisitive, social baby I look back smiling at the memory of Amy being on hunger strike for the first few weeks – something that is now hard to believe! The usual ‘sobbing on collection’ to pull on the heart strings didn’t work as we knew Amy was happy and settling in well. Throughout every department Amy has thrived and has had fabulous care from her Key Workers and all staff. The love, care and attention that Amy has received has left us as parents happy in the knowledge she is happy, stimulated and developing social, physical, emotional and educational skills and opportunities to set her up for her future. Little Angels has been an extension of our family life for 3.5 years. We have felt Little Angels has accompanied us on every family holiday with Amy giving us a running commentary on nursery life and what would be happening at various points throughout the day! Every day I count my lucky stars that I made that phone call back in August 2011. We thank each and every one of you for your dedication to the care you give the children and the individual care and support you have given Amy. Not only do we feel extremely lucky to have Amy as our daughter, we feel very fortunate that you have helped shape Amy into the lovable, independent, sensitive, strong minded and humorous little girl that fills our lives with so much joy. Amy has thoroughly enjoyed every minute of her time at Little Angels and we will always remain so grateful to you all.   With Love and Thanks.
